MOVEMENT - What Not To Do- Do not place your child on his back.
- Do not limit your child’s opportunity to move in a safe environment
- Do not restrict your child’s opportunity to move by holding him for long periods of time.
- Do not put your child in clothing that restricts his movement.
- Do not keep your child in any device that restricts or inhibits movement (wheelchair, playpen, backpack, stroller, braces, or swing) unless you are transporting your child.
- Do not place your child in a walker – it can be dangerous.
- Do not try to help your child by touching, pushing, or supporting him when he is moving or trying to move.
- Do not force or bribe your child to move.
- Do not correct or criticize the way your child moves.
- Do not exhaust your child or allow him to overexert himself.
