Developmental Progress of Yafaau

One day policy forum on children with special needs in which, relevant ministries will give presentation on their current role on rights/healthcare of children with special needs. The Ministry of Gender and Family will also give a presentation on a survey conducted at Haa Alif and Haa Dhaal atoll on the status of disability in these areas.

The Ministry of Gender and Family would also be presenting the final version of its "Action plan for Children with Disabilities 2008-2013"

25th of this month, We showed to doctor found Conjunctivitis in one of Yafaau's eyes. When the medicines were started, it was ok. But as doctor advised, we continued its dose for a week.

On second day after starting the dose, the yellowish discharge of goop/gunk/eye crust(މަޑު) were gone but Yafaau developed a fever with a runny nose! Later, in abt two days, we did not see signs of the runny nose which he had but he was definitely having difficulties in swallowing/breathing difficulties which is usual when he has a cold.

But now, he has fever and it shows up like twice in every four days so we're going to doctor again today. Follow me(http://twitter.com/yasiph) on twitter for quick, short messages which i don't have time/relevant to blog about.

Update: 21:30

Diagnosed as a common cold and doc says no antibiotics needed. Asked about Yafaau's chest condition and it seems alright despite having a bad nausea alhmdlillah.

Yesterday, Yafaau had a redness in his left eye(his sensitive eye) and was showing signs of what it is called Conjunctivitis. His left eye showed a redness in the morning followed by a yellowish discharge of goop/gunk/eye crust(މަޑު). Late last night he also showed an abnormal temperature, alas having fever!

Went to consult Dr.Afeef and he confirmed that it was Conjunctivitis. He also checked Yafaau's lungs and gave medication for secretions. Informed that it may show signs of total recovery in two or three days but we need to complete the dose which was for a week.

I do not have any idea why Yafaau was exposed to it! But who knows, and we definitely didn't see it coming.
